A year sure passes quickly

In March 2012, we signed a lease and began converting an old real estate office into a Hawaiian Chocolate Factory. We opened our doors on June 16th, 2012.

Here we are a year later, buying cacao beans from ex-child soldiers in Liberia, expanding our equipment, shipping from Oslo to Rio and reinventing our craft chocolate making process. The Hawaiian cacao industry has received much attention this year and we are pleased to participate in molding this new industry. We are now selling at Whole Foods in Kahala and Kailua, many hotel gift shops all over Waikiki and continue to add retail locations from coast to coast.

As many of you already know, our Liberian chocolate is delicious. We quickly ran out and are in the process of buying a metric tonne of cacao - our largest purchase to date. Aloha and thanks for all the chocolate-consuming support.
