From their 1,019 acre bird sanctuary in the northern mountains of the Dominican Republic, Zorzal produces fine flavored, organic cacao while creating conservation solutions across hemispheres. Set under the shade of diverse nitrogen fixing hardwood and fruit trees, they plant grafted cacao trees selected for their flavor characteristics.
Included with your cacao will be our Dominican Republic Bar made from the same beans - this way you will be able to taste our version of the beans as finished chocolate.
Flavor: Strong base chocolate with notes of fudge and coffee.
Genetics: Amelonado, grafted trees from MataLarga (a local Cacao Experimental Station), clones from Imperial College Selection in Trinidad, and clones from United Fruit of Costa Rica.
Net Wt: 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds)
