Each month we make a special limited edition small batch flavor to include in our monthly subscription club; Mānoa Monthly. These bars are made exclusively for our members, with the majority of them never to be made again (regardless of how delicious they are).

This is our opportunity to be creative as makers and try new things. In our quest for fun and flavor some turn out winners and others, maybe not. The beauty is that you get to decide!

We have put aside a small quantity of six of this year's flavors in order to create this exciting box of chocolates. If you're a member, this is your chance to re-visit long lost flavors, or even better, send a box to a friend or family member with an adventurous palate. If you’re not a member, now is your big moment to surf the exotic wave of flavors that is Mānoa Monthly.


For maximum flavor, store and eat chocolate at a dry 70° F (21° C).

Lava Flow: 60% dark milk chocolate. Ingredients: rum soaked cacao, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter, strawberry powder, coconut powder, banana powder, organic whole milk powder. Contains milk. Gluten free.

Salted Almond: 72% dark chocolate. Ingredients: cacao, organic cane sugar, almonds, cocoa butter, Hawaiian sea salt. Dairy free and gluten free.

Hazelnut: 55% dark chocolate. Ingredients: cacao, hazelnut, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter. Dairy free and gluten free.

Pistachio Sea Salt: 70% dark chocolate. Ingredients: cacao, organic cane sugar, pistachio, cocoa butter, Hawaiian sea salt. Dairy free and gluten free.

Matcha: white chocolate. cocoa butter, organic whole milk powder, organic cane sugar, matcha (Japanese green tea powder), roasted barley. Contains milk and barley.

India: 70% single origin dark chocolate. Ingredients: cacao, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter. Dairy free and gluten free.

    Last year's hazelnut milk chocolate bar became one of the most popular subscription flavors. This year it returned in a new form: Hazelnut Dark. Roasted hazelnuts are infused into a dark chocolate base, creating an outstandingly creamy and nutty chocolate bar.

    This bar represets our first time making chocolate with Indian cacao. While Mānoa Monthly is typically about creating chocolates with interesting inclusions, we were happy to be able to showcase a single origin chocolate for the month of August. We describe this single origin India bar as having a tangy start, with hints of cardamom, cinnamon, and a dark raisin note on the finish.

All of our chocolate is crafted from bean-to-bar at our chocolate factory in Kailua, O'ahu.

direct trade cacao

We're buying cacao direct from the farmer. This allows us to establish long lasting relationships based on trust and quality. By cutting out intermediaries we can also pay our farmers higher prices for their crop.

Each chocolate bar is packaged using recycled paper and wrapped in a biodegradable plant-based fiber
