The Details

  • Recipient gets 3 pre-selected bars per month: 1 limited edition and 2 others from our collection.
  • You pay for 1 year upfront and we take care of the rest (shipping is included in your one time purchase). After 1 year you'll be unsubscribed.
  • Chocolate is shipped the Monday following the 15th of each month.

  • We will include a note in your gift recipient's first order letting them know about their new chocolate subscription and who gifted it to them. If you'd like to say something more please specify in the order notes at checkout.

    November's BAR

    Wow, was this bar a challenge! I loved how it sounded when we brainstormed fun flavors to create in 2024, but this turned out to be the biggest challenge we’ve faced with our Manoa Monthly creations. With challenges, we learn what doesn't work. After going back to the drawing board, we spent the last few months tweaking the recipe in small grinders. A pinch of salt here, a little more rosemary there, a splash of milk for added creaminess, and a bit more lemon for acidity and tartness—we are now proud to share this bar with you. Not everything turns out as planned, but with the right attitude and perseverance, we eventually got where we wanted.The rosemary was harvested from my mom's herb garden. What was once a huge bush is now mostly a small trunk with sparsely covered branches. After what felt like days of drying rosemary leaves, we sprinkled the dried, aromatic herb on each bar by hand.I sincerely hope that you enjoy this unique chocolate bar we’ve lovingly crafted and sent to you this month.

    All of our chocolate is crafted from bean-to-bar at our chocolate factory in Kailua, O'ahu.

    We're buying cacao direct from the farmer. This allows us to establish long lasting relationships based on trust and quality. By cutting out intermediaries we can also pay our farmers higher prices for their crop.
